Jon Trujillo
Commercial Artist
Jonathan Trujillo is a Graphic & Web Designer for WAG Media Group. With over 10 years of experience as a graphic and print designer, Jon brings traditional print design experience to the web. Jon's career as a designer started at a small T-Shirt shop in Yuba City. He designed custom tee shirts for clients but also managed the screen-printing. Doing so gave Jon an amazing opportunity to learn basics of printing like color separations and film output. Real world experience in the production end of design gave him an unusual opportunity to understand pre-production, production and post-production of the projects he would manage.
After working as a print designer, Jon started learning how to design and build websites. He began learning HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and has been adding to his repertoire of web development knowledge ever since. Jon is currently enrolled in the Bachelors of Science in Web Design & Interactive Media program at the Art Institute of California. He's currently building sites with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery) and Flash/Actionscript. Jon also has experience working with the most popular Content Management Systems and Blogging Platforms like Wordpress, Joomla, Concrete5 and Drupal.
When he's not banging out code or designing projects at the office he passes the time by sketching and painting on the computer, various art projects, homework, exploring the net (not with Internet Explorer), and loves shooting clays. Jon lives with his beautiful wife Erin and two children Piper(5) and Xander (8 months). Jon finds a lot of inspiration in his family. Piper, like her Daddy, is very creative. "She really pushes me to think a little more outside the norm. She is a constant inspiration." said Jon. "She is her Dad's little muse."
After working for a few years at WAG, Jon is constantly looking for opportunities to push the limits of his creativity.
