The 10th Annual Spring Get-Together Car Show will be held on Plumas Street in Downtown Yuba City on Saturday, May 1st from 4-9 p.m. Come down and see the best classics and street rods that the north state has to offer, while visiting the wonderful shops and eateries situated in downtown! Prizes will be given out in many different categories. Vendors are welcome, but must register in advance. Race-day registration is available for vehicles or you can register in advance. The first Candidate Marketing Forum presented by Wag the Frog and the Appeal-Democrat was must-see event with powerful information for candidates. Candidates heard from a number of speakers, including: Jenn Schmall, Andrew Coolidge, Kate Doscher, Coleen Morehead, and the Wag the Frog Team. A number of topics were covered and incumbents and challengers alike, left feeling empowered and prepared to tackle the seemingly daunting task of running for office. The speakers and Wag the Frog Team covered branding, logos, social/viral media, campaign evolution, public speaking tactics & presentation, debate tactics, strategy, team-building, FPPC regulations on local newspapers and so much more.
